Practicing a Better Eating Habit

The hardest part about getting in shape for me is eating healthy. I'm a skinny fat.  Although I don't appear chubby or obese. I do have flabby bits and cellulites on my thighs...eek! So in order to get lean and toned. I must eat healthier, cleaner. I definitely must cut down on carbs and fatty/sugary food. If I don't shed my body fat then my muscles will just be hiding under my flabby parts and I will actually look bigger. Nooo!

I'm such a foodie, I enjoy eating too much. I also LOVE to cook. And I live with a man who's trying to gain weight. I'm determined to get this right though. I'm turning 28 in March and I want to approach my 30's with a healthy mind and body. :)

I'm going to be more strict during the weekdays. Only eating healthy/clean food, in smaller portions throughout the day. I will let myself enjoy food during weekends or outings with the family and friends. Doesn't mean I will binge on weekends, it means if I want to have a piece of cake then I can.

General idea of what I plan to stock up in my kitchen.

Frozen:
Carrots, Spinach, Corn, Peas, Green Beans, Fruits(for Smoothies), Broccoli

Fresh: Salad, Asparagus, Garlic, Bell Peppers, Tomatoes, Spring Onions

Non-Perishables/Dry: Tuna, Sun-dried Tomatoes(great flavors), Brown Rice, Almonds

Meat: Seafood, Ground Beef, Chicken Breasts


For my 2nd day of the 30-day challenge by BodyRock.Tv, I actually made up a workout for myself. I'm in so much pain! I'm so out of shape! But I will get there ! :) I'm supposed to do my third workout today but I decide to give it a rest because I'm in so much pain I can't even jog. Anyways! :) Here are my results:

Getting in The Best Shape of My Life: BodyRock's 30-day Challenge

I'm jumping on the fitness bandwagon again! And I hope I don't jump off this time ! I'm starting it off with BodyRock.Tv's 30-day challenge. I've been a follower of BodyRock.Tv for 3 years now. They are awesome! Their workouts are challenging but SUPER fun and give great results. The best part about it is that it's FREEEE :) A good way to get in shape without a gym membership. You only need a few equipment and less than 30 minutes each day, and you do these workouts in the comfort of your own home!

I started the challenge a day late and here are the results of my fit test :

Squat Jumps 27
Push Ups 14
Burpees 9
High Knees 69
Switch Lunges 9
Tuck Jumps 10
Straight Abs 14

Please don't laugh at my pathetic results! I'm so out of shape ! Hahaha!! Oh well, I'm laughing at myself anyways.. so feel free to laugh! ;)  Hopefully by the end of the challenge my fit test results will be MUCH better !!

I actually did my fist test last night, so tonight I'm on day 2 of the challenge. I will be posting my workout updates with my blog posts. I'm also taking a before picture so I can see my results at the end of this 30-day challenge. I'm sure many bodyrockers are doing to same thing! Can't wait to see everyone's results!
